Of Scimitars and Sands

The desert sands of the Qylan Desert of Tabia frequently change with every passing breeze.   When a baby is discovered by a passing caravan, a woman named Narill exchanges the child for a powerful artifact.  Her best sale ever leads to a life of excess and comfort, but it also invites a dark evil that threatens to rewrite the history of the region.  Can the baby, raised amid the changing chaos, find a way to unite the people against this darkness and prevent the ultimate evil?  

Although she may appear young and inexperienced, the eternal Miss Nadinalla has studied in every field known to man.  She is an expert seamstress, a trained healer, a master tactician and a crafty actress who has learned how to accomplish anything - without the power of wishes which, as she has discovered throughout her many years of service, are anything but perfect.

As much a slave as any genie of the bottle, Garand became the property of an aristocat who became a self made man without the power of wishes.  Only when an act of charity allowed Garand to emerge from his lamp at last did a taste for power and revenge become clear.  For every wish Garand has had to grant, he will satisfy all of his own ambitions - but can the mortal world handle it?

Nearly seven hundred years before the opening of our story, the Krynn Empire occupied four corners of the desert and created a free society of trade, art, comfort and peace.  But this empire was corrupt, and the last sultan realized that he didn't wish to see everything that had been built crumble.  Instead, he chose to leave it all behind - but not before preparing a path that would allow the region to regain its past glory - years after its had time to recover - and become even better than ever.

For the first time ever, a narrator guides the reader through the story.  This is a unique story where the backstory of a novel changes multiple times, and the power of a wish can cause more than what that wish might have orignally been intended or assumed.  Nothing is certain, and it will take a lifetime to reach its incredible end.  Follow along and explore how time can become a character in its own right.
